Charles Montagu Doughty
(1843 1926) Escritor y viajero ingles, n. en Theberton Hall (Suffolk) y m. en Sissinghurts (Kent). Es sobre todo conocido por sus Travels in Arabian Deserta (1888), descripcion clasica de la vida en Arabia hecha en singular estilo arcaico. Escribio tambien poemas y dramas poeticos, como The Dawn in Britain (1907), Adam Cast Forth (1908) y Mansoul or The Riddle of the World (1920).
